Dear Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada!

We beg to inform all the devotees that Sriman Grahila Prabhu,
disciple of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, husband of Guru Seva dasi and father of Smt. Nitai dasi, has just left his body at 07.47 AM under very auspicious circumstances in Sri Mayapur Dhama.

After a restless night symptomized with rapid breathing Grahila
prabhu left on this auspicious day of Papamocani Ekadasi surrounded by a room full of well-wishers, chanting loudly the holy names of the Lord and praying for his spiritual perfection. He was lucid and in clear consciousness and has been blessed by Srila Prabhupada and the presiding Masters of Mayapur with the highest benediction.

Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

This is a brief update on Sriman Grahila prabhu's health. Many of you will know that about a month ago he suffered what appeared to be a mild stroke. However, medical examination revealed water on the brain, and a brain tumor. Further tumors were found in his neck and chest. He suffered some speech impairment and motor dysfunction of his right arm and a reduced ability to mentally focus.

Grahila prabhu went with his wife Guru Seva mataji to Mumbai to get a full biopsy done. A one inch tumor was removed from his neck and the results returned last week. These show that he has Stage 4 cancer i.e. the cancerous tumors have metastasized and are not treatable. The doctors have advised that no treatment is possible.

They did however suggest that gamma ray treatment may relieve some of the symptoms. He underwent this for six continuous hours last Friday at the Hinduja hospital in Mumbai. Immediately afterwards he was unable to speak or stand and was subject to vomiting.

Since then he has gradually improved to the point where he can at least say a few sentences, but he is still quite incapacitated. He and his wife have made the decision to return to Mayapur as soon as he is able to travel.

We request all the Vaisnavas to pray for the spiritual well being of
this dear disciple of Srila Prabhupada. Since cancer patients have been
known to recover from even Stage 4 cancer we cannot rule out the
possibility of physical recovery. But whatever happens, we do request all
devotees to pray to Srila Prabhupada and Sri Sri Radha Madhava to bestow
Their full blessings upon him.

My dear Srila Prabhupada,

I are sure that when your disciple Grahila Prabhu took his last breath, you extended your hand out to him to guide him on his final journey from this world. By your mercy, another soul has now been released from the bondage of this material world and its repeated births and deaths. Please keep Grahila dasa forever at your lotus feet.

Please, Srila Prabhupada, give special mercy to his family who are grieving the loss of his association. Kindly give them strength to carry on without him.

Dear Lord Hari,

We know that whatever You do You do for our own good. Dear Krishna, we ask You to help Your devotee as he really needs Your help. He has abided by Your rules and dharma and has been at Your feet always. Right now he clinches on to Your lotus feet for help. We know that You will never forsake Your devotee under any circumstances. Please help Your devotee and save him from this trouble. He is holding on to Your feet, with so much faith and belief, to cross this hurdle of trouble. Please help him cross it and protect him always. Jai Krishna.

As your dear son, Grahila dasa, moves closer toward the last stage of his life, I am humbly begging you to continue to watch over him at this crucial time. You, Srila Prabhupada, are so very expert at time and circumstance. Therefore, I am asking you to please come for him when it is the right time, reaching out your loving hand to his and gently guiding him back to Lord Krsna and His associates. Kindly give solace to his family and friends who will miss him so much in his physical absence.

Srila Prabhupada, I have felt your presence when other devotees have left their bodies. I have strong faith that you come for those who have devoted their lives to you and even for those who once served you at every moment, but seemingly left your lotus feet for Maya's temporary allurement. However, you are so merciful. You never forget any service rendered to you. So, please Srila Prabhupada, when you feel the time is right, please come for your dear son, Grahila dasa, who surrendered his life to Your Divine Grace. Please bless him and his family with your unlimited mercy--now and always.
