Subject: Prayer Request for Bhanutanaya dasi

Hare Krishna Dear Devotees,

This is to ask for your sincere prayers for Bhanutanaya dasi, a disciple of His Holiness Satsvarupa Goswami from the early 1980's. I just received a phone call from her sister on Sunday informing me that Bhanutanaya dasi committed suicide on Thursday, December 20, 2007.

Bhanutanaya joined ISKCON in New York City when she was only 15 years old. She was still in high school, so her parents were not very supportive of her decision. She had many obstacles in the beginning of her spiritual life. She even had to hide all of her books and had to chant in her bedroom closet so her parents would not find out her spiritual activities. Bhanutanaya came to Gita-nagari a couple of years later, served for many years on our painting sankirtan party, got married, had her son at our farm, and then moved on with her husband. Over the years she would call me occasionally, expressing her sadness for distancing herself from the devotees and Krsna consciousness. Through the years Bhanutanaya had a very disturbed mind, yet Krsna consciousness kept her in check. When she left the association of devotees, her mental disabilities took over and she suffered for many years. Just this past summer, her sister was at Pennsylvania State University for a program and stopped by the Gita-nagari farm to take pictures. In addition, I made a video for Bhanutanaya. The other day, Bhanu's sister told me that when she showed them to Bhanutanaya that she was so happy. She even placed the pictures over the stove in her kitchen. Unfortunately, after suffering so many mental problems, Krsna's dear devotee, Bhanutanaya dasi committed suicide last week. I have sent holy dust from Vrindavana, Tulasi leaves from the lotus feet of Sri Damodara, Deity remnants, and a Harinam chaddar to be with her for the cremation.

My realization is that Krsna never forgets the service and the heart of His devotee. Bhanutanaya dasi was very much loved by the devotees who knew her. Your prayers will benefit her so much. I am begging all of you to please pray for her and her loving family to heal from this painful situation.

Dear Sri Sri Gaur Nitai,

I humbly pray and beg at Your lotus feet to please protect Your dear
devotee who has gone through so much within this life. Only Your mercy can
lift us from this dark well of material existence and suffering. I humbly
beg that you will Please lift Your dearest daughter and please please give
her the sweet moonlike shelter of Your most divine lotus feet. Please
shower Your supreme protection to her family and near and dear ones who
must be in the most difficult time.

Dear Sri Sri Niatai Gauranga,

Please give Your divine shelter and mercy to the soul of Bhanutanya devi dasi, who is in desperate need of Your mercy after a life of suffering. Please
keep her in the association of Your dear devotees and allow her a new
chance in Your blissful Sankirtan mission. I also pray for her family and
friends, that they may find shelter in Your mercy as well to cope with the
loss.

filled with misery and suffering. Please, my beloved Srila Prabhupada,
give the shelter of your lotus feet to your young servant Bhanutanaya
dasi, who needs you so much at this time. Please help her loving family to
find peace through the nectar of the Holy Names of Lord Krsna.

Dearest Nitai Gaurachandra,

Your special devotee, Locan das Thakur, has described You as parama karuna. There is no doubt to the truth of this statement, but for most of us we do not understand the real depth of the love, compassion, and mercy You want each of us to receive. Please hear my simple prayer that Bhanutanaya mataji and her family may taste some of those glorious qualities, now when such shelter is most definitely needed. All glories to You and Your servants who are personifications of hope in these dark times.

are the Most Merciful, Magnanimous, Compassionate and Munificent. Please, please shower Your rain of mercy on this lost soul and bring her peace and comfort. She suffered so much on this earth, so we beg You to please clasp her to your bosom and keep her very close to you. Please take care of this special soul who needs you so much.
