Subject: Prayer Request for Bhadra Priya devi dasi

Dear Devotees,

Bhadra Priya devi dasi is a Vaishnavi from Toronto Canada. She spent many
years serving on sankirtana parties in Canada and the U.S. collecting Laxmi
to build important projects like New Vrindavana and distributing Srila
Prabhupada's books. She is certainly one of ISKCON's pioneers and dearly
beloved by her guru, Srila Prabhupada and by so many of her God-sisters.
Bhadra Priya is very kind-hearted and thoughtful devotee who has recently
reconnected with the devotees who are providing support and care. Although
she was away from us for many years, she reconnected just like the sister
and ISKCON family member that she truly is.
 

Bhadra Priya lost her partner of 18 years last August to sudden heart
failure. This was a terrible blow and makes her current situation so much
more difficult. Bhadra Priya was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer in
January 08. She has endured several courses of radiation and chemotherapy
which have ravaged her body. The tumor has disappeared but she is in great
pain with bladder and intestinal damage. Every day is an endurance. Although
Bhadra Priya is in so much pain of mind and body she says that: "The cancer
has been the best thing that ever happened to me. It brought me back to
God".  She is a big believer in prayer and credits her progress in fighting
this disease to the prayer and love of the devotees and other friends.
Please pray for Bhadra Priya prabhu. Pray to give her strength to face the
struggles of her body and the challenges that come from the mind in such
circumstances. She will certainly feel your prayer and gain strength and
faith from you.

I humbly pray at the lotus feet of Their Lordships if it be Your supreme
will, Please protect Bhadra Priya Mataji from the horrible disease. My
dear Lord you are most kind and soft hearted and You cannot see the
suffering of Your dear devotees like Bhadra Priya Mataji. Please protect
her and give her the shelter of Your cool moonlike lotus feet and sweet
loving and smiling glance that will steal all her suffering away.

Dearest Srila Prabhupada,
 
Please bless this sincere daughter so she can become relieved of all
material conditioning and return to her pure position at the feet of Lord
Caitanya. Please bless her to always be able to think of you and be
absorbed in your mercy. May this be her last birth in the material world.
May her remaining time here encourage all devotees to become dedicated and steadfast in our sadhana.

I am praying for you, hoping that you will be able to lead a normal life without
the suffering of the body. I pray that you will remain close to the Lord in all
situations and to HDG Srila Prabhupada as the tests continue until we all meet up
with Him. This world is full of suffering and pain and only the devotees seem to
be able to endure these onslaughts with ease and seeing it all as Sri Krsna's
Mercy, such as you have. All Glories to you and your services, and may Sri Krsna stay
always by your side in all stages of life eternally.

You are so kind. Please shower Your glance of mercy over Bhadra Priya
d.d., who is suffering so much at this time in her life. Please help her
to fight the cancer in her body, and help her to recover her body and mind
so she can serve Your Sankirtan mission again. She has done so much
service in the past and now she wants to continue her service again.
Please be merciful to her and let her serve with her real family of
devotees.

Candramauli Swami! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Your
Lordships' Infinite Mercy! Please, please shower Your mercy on this
dutiful daughter of Srila Prabhupada who has served His Divine Grace so
faithfully. Though suffering now in body she remains devoted and dedicated
to her Spiritual Master and is an inspiring example of service. PLEASE
ease her discomfort and pain and please help her to transcend these bodily
afflictions and become more and more absorbed in the holy names. Praying
for Your mercy on this wonderful God-sister of M.Praharana who is herself
very dear to us.

devotees.
