Subject: Prayer Request for Shyamasundara Prabhu
 

Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I just heard that our Godbrother, Shyamasundara Prabhu, Vedic
Astrologer, was seriously injured in a car crash in Koshi, on the way to
Vrndavana this afternoon.

His wife Sundari Radhika was with him in the crash, but was not
seriously hurt. Shyamasundara prabhu is currently in intensive care in the
Mangala Nursing Home in Koshi. He has head injuries and some lesser injury
to his hand and leg. He is semi-conscious and is able to communicate and
his wife is not anticipating a deterioration in his condition. Nevetheless,
with head injuries one can never be sure. Devotees from Vrndavana temple
are in attendance and we expect to get an accurate doctor's diagnosis
within a few hours.

Please pray for Shyamasundara prabhu's speedy recovery. Especially at this
time of the year, Janmastami and Vyasapuja, let us hope that Sri
Sri Radha Shyamasundara, Sri Sri Krsna Balaram and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai give him Their full protection so that he speedily recovers. Here in Mayapur
Jananivas and Pankajanghri prabhus will be doing some special pujas to
Lord Nrsimhadeva for his protection and recovery.

 Dear Maharaja's and prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I just got off the phone with Shyamasundara and his wife Sundari
Radhika. Yesterday evening they were moved in two ambulances from Max
Hospital to the New Delhi temple guest house where they will stay for the
next three months. Its good in one sense that they are out of the hospital
environment. But it doesn't mean much in terms of their health, which
remains very delicate.

Sundari Radhika had the halo fitted several days ago, but she is not
yet mobile. It will take several days of physio. before she will be able to
get out of bed by herself and move around. The halo weighs about 5 kgs. so
you can imagine the inconvenience.

Shyama simply cannot move off his back. Coughing is so painfull
because of his broken ribs and vertebrae that he can't do it. It could also
be dangerous so he is very cautious how he eats and drinks etc. If he
catches a cold at this point it could be a severe problem.

Guru Gauranga prabhu at the Delhi temple has set up their room like a hospital, with hospital beds. They have had to hire assistants for 24 hrs. care, 2 ladies and one man, costing Rs. 800.00 per day because at the moment they are unable to perform even the most simply and perfunctory tasks by
themselves.

Dear Sri Sri Nitai Gaurasundara, Lord Nrsimhadeva, Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan,

Please help and protect Your dear devotees, Shyamasundara Prabhu and his
wife Sundara Radika. Your plans are completely unpredictable. I pray that
they may have the courage and strength to face the difficult situation,
and have a speedy recovery by Your inconceivable mercy. It must be so
inconvenient for them, and I pray that they will receive Your mercy and
recover soon.

My dear Lord Narasimhadeva,

Please accept my very, very humble obeisances at Your Beautiful Lotus Feet. You are the refuge of all devotees, the only source of succor for distressed souls. I very humbly submit this petition for mercy and blessings on Shyamasundara dasa and his wife. I do not know them, but having come to know of them, I beg to offer You this prayer for their healing, protection and complete recovery. Dear Lord, there are so few of us on this earth, but thanks to the mercy of Srila Prabhupada we are bound to each other through bonds of love, hence please, please consider our prayers for their care and healing and indeed all our prayers for all devotees so that we may continue
our struggle to spread Krishna Consciousness in this terrible Age of Kali.

I beg You to please allow Y,our devoted and sincere servant Shyamsundar Prabhu, to recover from his injuries and lead a normal life soon. Please give Radhikasundari and their lovely daughter the courage, hope and peace to deal with this difficult period of turmoil.
